Chrissy Lampkin has revealed that rumors of her and Jim Jones getting a spin-off are true.
Things didn’t look good for Chrissy on the season 2 finale of "Love & Hip Hop." She and Jim’s former manager Yandy Smith were at odds and Chrissy wasn’t exactly getting along with producers either.
It didn’t take long for rumors to start swirling that she and Jim would be going in their own direction. While there were whispers of the couple starring in a new series, neither Jim nor Chrissy commented on the buzz until this week.
“Jimmy and I have our own show now. There’s definitely gonna be drama. We love each other but we don’t always see eye-to-eye," she told Vibe magazine.
The two are no strangers to conflict (most couples fight), but she said that there’s a common element that holds them together.
"We respect each other but just like any other relationship, it gets rocky,” said Chrissy who hasn’t yet decided on a name for the show.
“I really don’t know [the title yet]. I really wanted Me and Mrs. Jones but Kelis and Nas already used that,” she said.
Chrissy also looked back at some of the more volatile situations on the "Love & Hip Hop," where she was not afraid to throw down. In hindsight, though, she wishes she hadn’t gotten so riled up.
“It’s like why did I let them get me that angry? I feel like I can think circles around half of the situations that I allow myself to get angry at," Chrissy mused. "My wit and my vocabulary is enough to cut somebody down where I don’t have to get physical.”
