Evelyn Lozada settles libel lawsuit

It turns out Evelyn Lozada isn’t as opposed to filing lawsuits as “Basketball Wives” fans may have thought.

Although she was none too happy that co-star Jennifer Williams filed a lawsuit against slapper Nia Crooks, Evelyn sued MediaTakeOut for spreading the rumor that she was cheating on her fiancé, Chad Ochocinco, with their friend Terrell Owens.

Despite her denials, MTO reportedly refused to remove the potentially libelous content from the site.

The lawsuit, filed last October, alleged that Evelyn “suffered reputational and professional damage, damage to her business, and severe emotional distress.” She was reportedly seeking $15,000 in damages.

It’s unclear how much she received in the settlement.

While lawyers handled the details of the agreement, Evelyn enjoyed the weekend in New York City celebrating at the Puerto Rican Day Parade.
