Get ready for a kinder, gentler "Basketball Wives: L.A." when the show returns.
Many viewers thought "BBW: LA" was bad when it first aired. The cast members were constantly being catty and there were endless confrontations on every episode. It also seemed like everyone was teaming up against Draya Michele, and who could forget that fight on the series premiere last year?
Audiences didn’t think it could get any worse, but the Los Angeles cast made the ladies of Miami look like prim and proper socialites. Then "Basketball Wives" returned for season 4, and you know the rest.
When asked how she feels her show stacks up against the original, Gloria Govan told Bossip, "Aside from the first fight that we had, like that was our first scene, ‘Basketball Wives: L.A.’ is a little bit more mature."
The new season of "Basketball Wives: L.A." is currently being filmed, and she promises that the show will still keep things interesting. Just don’t expect to see flying objects.
"Don’t get me wrong, you’re definitely going to see drama," said Gloria, "but you’re not gonna see us throwing bottles and trying to hit each other. I just think that’s overdone.”
