Tamar Braxton wants K.Michelle to pay for throwing shade at her during a recent radio interview.
TheYBF.com reports that Tamar has threatened to sue K after her chat with TT Torrez of iPower 92.1, during which the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star went off about some comments Tamar tweeted to Toya Wright. The message, which was later removed from Tamar’s timeline, read, "Oh have fun and let this girl sell her fairy tale." The "LHHA" star assumed that the tweet was an intentional jab at her over her claims that Toya’s husband MeMpHiTz beat her up and stole money from her record deal.
During her interview with TT, K.Michelle said she "jumps gates" and said Tamar looked like a muppet. Well, Tamar has not taken those statements lying down!
"Your Tweets and the [interview] are laden with scandalous and malicious misinformation concerning our client," a cease and desist letter from Tamar’s attorney states.
"Making threats of violence against an individual is a crime and while it is clear that your threats are directed at Ms. Braxton, referring to Ms. Braxton as a ‘muppet’ is defamatory. In an effort to gain celebrity for yourself you have perpetuated and magnified provocative, unsubstantiated allegations while simultaneously making criminal threats."
Furthermore, Tamar claims that she only tweeted in defense of Toya, who was celebrating her first wedding anniversary in Paris with MeMpHiTz when "LHHA" debuted on June 18.
Now, Tamar is demanding that K.Michelle issue a public apology and shell out some cash so that Tamar can "retain a ‘reputation management’ company to relegate the web pages containing [K.Michelle’s] negative comments in connection with searches contains [Tamar’s] name."
Essentially, Tamar wants all mention of the interview and Tamar being called a muppet to be wiped from the Web. That would be no small task, and the "Braxton Family Values" star wants K.Michelle to pay for it.
The Atlanta singer has yet to comment on the legal action.
