Monica Brown knows that, sometimes, it’s good to just let a man be a man.

Monica and her hubby Shannon Brown had a whirlwind romance before they wed less than six months after meeting on the set of "Love All Over Me" in 2010.

Now a little more than two years later, Monica is still madly in love with her man.  Although theirs was a short courtship, it was all the time Monica needed to know she’d met the man of her dreams.

“It doesn’t take that long in this business. You see how ugly people are on the inside, so with him is was really interesting…that the first time we met he was talking about his grandmother," Monica told TT Torrez at RadioOne Fest in Miami.

Monica will admit that she’s still getting to know the man she married ("I think that’s every day," she said). The soulful siren said that she’s more than okay with maintaining a little mystery. It just means there’s always something new to discover.

“Sometimes as a woman you have to be okay with not knowing all the answers," she said. "I started asking for confirmation and I enjoyed every second with him instead of thinking so much and [trying] to map out how it should be. I sat back and let him be a man and let him lead into what we are now.”

Monica’s fans love seeing her and Shannon together, but the singer revealed that she still doesn’t plan to let reality TV cameras back into her life at this time.

"Right now? No. Maybe later," Monica said, explaining that the marriage is still too new for reality TV. "It’s not anything that I’m against, but I think us building a foundation, we don’t need that right now."
