Tameka, Usher pulling together for son’s sake

Although the two were in the midst of a bitter, public custody battle, Usher Raymond and his ex-wife Tameka are putting their differences aside while requesting prayers for the recovery of Tameka’s son, Kyle Glover.

“Tameka and Usher don’t get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side,” a source told US Weekly. “Usher practically raised Kyle as his own.”

Kyle, 11, is in critical condition and considered brain dead after being hit by a jet ski operated by a family friend.

“Kyle, You are strong.. You’ll be saved I know it. I love you my baby,” read a posting on a Facebook page that allegedly belongs to Tameka. She reportedly told RadarOnline.com, “He’s bad.”

While Tameka and Usher have two children together, Kyle is Tameka’s son from a previous relationship; however, Usher came into his life when he was about 6 years old.

“He grew close to Kyle, and of course that has nothing to do with the situation with Tameka. He loved Kyle. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up,” the Us Weekly source said.

In 2010, Tameka described her eldest child of five as "Andy Warhol meets Bill Gates coupled with Justin Bieber and infused with Emeril,” according to GlobalGrind.com

The 15-year-old girl who was reportedly in an inner tube with Kyle on Lake Lanier in Atlanta, was also struck, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Celebrities from Alec Baldwin to Wendy Williams have been tweeting well-wishes to Usher and Tameka since the incident.
