There’s going to be some soul in the Midwest this summer thanks to the third annual Vail Soul Music Fest in Colorado.
This event, taking place August 17-19, is Colorado’s only soul music festival and will be featuring performances from Kindred, Sugarfoot’s Ohio Players, Anthony David, Algebra and more.
The festival, named for the city in which it’s held, is described as “the ultimate soul experience,” due to its location boasting a view of the Rocky Mountains, spa services, golfing, fresh culinary options and more.
Along with the music, this festival gives visitors a chance to give back with its Vail Soul Fest Youth Day Music and Mentoring Program. The program, which serves more than 100 multi-cultural and under-served youth from Denver and other Colorado communities, allows the youth to participate in music and outdoor workshops and activities for aspiring music enthusiasts and performers.
For more on what happens behind the music, there will also be a “Behind the Beats” speaker series featuring top music executives discussing the business side of music.
The festival will also include a “Backyard Boogie” barbecue, a Sunday morning Gospel Brunch and parties.
