Christian Keyes talks love, fatherhood, reality TV

You’d think with all the pretty faces, finding love would be easy in Hollywood, but Christian Keyes told us that dating in L.A. is just plain “awful.”

The actor, writer and singer got major attention as a sexy up-and-coming actor showing off his ripped six-pack abs while starring in Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail stage play. Christian got even more attention from his role last season on BET’s “Let’s Stay Together” as Troy. “A lot more going to the mall and, ‘That is him. That is him. There he is, go look,’” Christian said.

He also starred in the movie Dysfunctional Friends alongside an all-star cast featuring Reagan Gomez, Stacey Dash, Tatyana Ali, Wesley Jonathan and Meagan Good, who has since walked down the aisle.

Christian told S2S he didn’t get an invite to Meagan’s wedding and admitted he "didn’t feel any kind of way," but he’s happy for her. “At the end of the day, because of all the changes in her life now, and the fact that she found true love, that’s beautiful, and that gives me hope.”

While Christian is waiting around for Mrs. Right, he’s focusing on being a dedicated single dad to his son, Christian Keyes Jr. “I’m a dad. I’m a father. Any male can make a baby. It takes a man to be a father, and I’m a man and a father, so quote me on that,” he told S2S.

Will fans see Christian on a reality TV show in the near future? Probably not, but he said he’s interested in producing some. “I have partnered with a couple people and we have a few projects that we’re working on as well,” he said. “When it’s official I can announce that. Maybe producing some, writing some, but if I’m in it, it would be docu-style so I can show people who I really am."
