It might be a game for some, but Tia Mowry is serious about her acting career and has quickly found a new gig on Nick at Nite.
After announcing a few months ago that she wouldn’t be returning to BET’s series “The Game,” news is circulating that the Style Network reality TV star has joined the cast of Nick’s new sitcom, “Instant Mom.”
Tia, who is slightly older than her on-screen character, will be playing a “25-year-old party girl who trades cosmos in for carpools when she marries an older man with kids,” reports Deadline.com.
Writers Warren Bell and Jessica Butler, whose life experiences serve as the inspiration behind the show, intend to hire an African-American cast.
Although Tia recently told “Access Hollywood,” that she’d like to provide her 1-year-old son Cree with a sibling sooner rather than later, fans of “Tia & Tamera” know that she’s also ready to take full advantage of acting opportunities that come her way.
Tia hasn’t commented on whether the new job will affect her plans to have another child “very soon.”
This role would be Tia’s first sitcom role after leaving “The Game.” She’ll be starring in an ABC Family movie titled “The Mistle-Tones” later this year.
