Rasheeda defends K.Michelle doubts

Rasheeda recently addressed rumors that she and K.Michelle fought during the taping of the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” reunion show, and made it clear whose side she’s on when it comes to K.’s beef with Toya Wright.

“We did not get in no physical altercation. That’s a lie. It was so funny to me. I had to laugh when I seen that post on the blogs. Who fabricates these stories?” K. asked the DJs at 107.5 in Columbus.

The day after the reunion show taped, blogs were buzzing with reports that an ambulance had been called to the scene following a full-blown fight between the two reality stars.

“That’s like the craziest thing I’ve ever heard,” said Rasheeda. However, for those who’ve witnessed the ladies’ on-air tension and Twitter beefs, the gossip about actual physical fights doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

“I stepped out of my character, and I went ahead and did it anyway. I just expressed how I felt,” Rasheeda said in reference to her latest Twitter exchange with K.

The relationship between the two music artists is relatively new. They started to forge a friendship when “LHHATL” first began taping; however, they hit a speed bump early on when K. accused Rasheeda’s friend MeMpHiTz Wright of having abused her years ago.

“I had just established a relationship with K. filming the show. She had already known that me and Toya [Wright, MeMpHiTz’s wife] are really, really good friends. The situation went from ‘tell Toya that I respect her and I got love for her’ to a whole ‘nother story,” explained Rasheeda, who defended her decision to confront K.Michelle about her claims face to face.

“I was woman enough to ask the question because don’t nobody know the f_ck!n’ facts,” Rasheeda said on Kandi Burruss’ “Kandi Koated Nights” show.

Rasheeda didn’t suggest that K.’s story is completely false, but she did question if it’s the whole truth.

“For me to say, ‘Why would he apologize for something he didn’t do?’ That’s me speaking my opinion because I hear from the horse’s mouth over there what he has to say, and I hear her story, and all I want to express to K. is if you’re going to tell the story, just tell the real story. Just be honest about what’s going on,” she said.

While K. understands viewers’ urge to sympathize and defend K., she warns that the singer could have ulterior motives.

“It’s 2012 and people do a whole lot of crazy stuff, whether I’m referring it to her—saying it could be possibly not a full true story or whether I’m referring it to him to say he could be this type or person, he could not be this type of person—I’ve never seen that from him, as far as she’s concerned,” Rasheeda said.

Although K. insists she has proof of MeMpHiTz’s abuse, nothing has surfaced publicly yet; and until then, Rasheeda and others remain loyal to MeMpHiTz.

“She knows where I sit with this,” Rasheeda said, acknowledging that domestic violence is nothing to take lightly. “It’s a serious issue, but at the end of the day, it’s her story, his story and the truth.”
