Kelly Rowland is no stranger to blessing the mic on BET, but the singer’s next appearance on the network may be as an actor, not a singer.
Kelly has signed on to star in BET’s upcoming sitcom, “What Would Dylan Do,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kelly, whose acting credits currently include turns on “Single Ladies” and Think Like a Man, will star as Dylan, “a struggling L.A.-based relationship blogger who lives with her best friend Cherise and wealthy and divorced roommate Brooke,” according to THR.
Kelly will be in good company at BET, which also has actors Kevin Hart ("The Real Husbands of Hollywood"), Gabrielle Union ("Being Mary Jane"), Wendy Raquel Robinson ("The Game") and George Gore II ("Second Generation Wayans") slated to appear on series this year.
There are also some notable additions to Kevin’s highly anticipated sitcom, “The Real Husbands of Hollywood.”
“The upcoming BET mock-reality series ‘The Real Husbands of Hollywood’ is adding Robin Thicke, J.B. Smoove, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin and Faizon Love to the already stellar cast,” according to BET.
However, Kevin, rapper Nelly and Nick Cannon will still be the main focus on the show, BET confirmed.
