Evelyn Lozada’s camp is denying buzz that the reality star will be sharing her story on "Oprah’s Next Chapter."
Kevin Frazier reported during the "Tom Joyner Morning Show" yesterday that Evelyn was set to tell Oprah Winfrey what happened the night her estranged husband, Chad Johnson, allegedly head-butted her!
Many assumed that a chat with Oprah wasn’t too far behnd for the "Basketball Wives" star, who supposedly needed stitches following her argument with Chad. Whispers of an interview on OWN were still something of a shock, though. Such an appearance would be a break from her current stance to stay out of spotlight by refusing to do any public appearances or interviews following her domestic incident.
As such, it didn’t take her management long to clarify that the Kevin misreported the story. TheJasmineBrand.com reports that Evelyn will not be doing "Oprah’s Next Chapter," but she will be doing the conclusion to her episode of Iyanla Vanzant’s "Fix My Life." The OWN life coaching show was recorded before Evelyn’s domestic dispute.
Just as one rumor has been laid to rest, more gossip about Chad and Evelyn is starting to make the rounds.
The Chicago-Sun Times reports that Evelyn only moved to file for divorce after she found out that VH1 had cancelled her spin-off, "Ev & Ocho."
“She was really pissed," a source close to Evelyn told the Sun Times. "Evelyn is all about fame and self-promotion, and once she realized that marriage [to Johnson] wasn’t working to help that—she was out."
The insider added, "She’s tough and could handle the abuse, though most of it with Chad was verbal. But she can’t stand the chance of not being in the public eye anymore.”
Evelyn’s camp has denied the accusation. "What the Chicago Sun-Times has reported is FALSE," Evelyn’s rep exclusively told S2S, adding that they are moving for a retraction from the newspaper. "Evelyn did not file for divorce because the show was canceled!"
