Gloria Govan bashes ‘BBW’ Miami cast

Gloria Govan isn’t afraid to get into the boxing ring as viewers saw on “Basketball Wives: L.A.” season 1, and if she had the chance, she’d invite almost the entire Miami cast to go a few rounds.

“I think I’d use my moves on every cast member in Miami,” Gloria joked to EURweb.com.

Viewers of the very first season of the “Basketball Wives” franchise will recall that Gloria was part of the cast. However, she wasn’t able to play nice with the other ladies who confronted and challenged her on more than one occasion.

“I’d knock out Shaunie [O’Neal] first,” she continued, taking aim at the series creator. “I’d backhand the $#!t out of Shaunie."

“Royce and I had a moment… so I would wait for that. I wouldn’t knock her out; I’d probably just smack the $#!t out of her. Suzie [Ketcham], I like, so that’s cool. Jennifer [Williams] just gets on my nerves, like her voice irritates me. So, I would try to take out her voice box. Evelyn [Lozada], her whole face is irritating,” said Gloria, who proceeded to describe where she’d strike Evelyn.

Surprisingly, Gloria didn’t mention wanting to go toe-to-toe with her L.A. co-star, Jackie Christie.

“Jackie doesn’t bother me, though. The other girls are really sensitive about her, but she’s just Jackie. She’s kinda like the crazy aunt everybody has. So, just deal with her,” she reasoned.

So fans can expect more craziness and drama when season 2 premieres in September.

“It’s gonna be really good,” she said. “It’s a lot of drama. There’s a lot of character developments. You see my sister [Laura Govan], and she’s lost all of her baby weight. You see relationships growing. You see relationships breaking up. People who have been good friends turning on each other. It’s interesting.

“You’re going to see a whole bunch of everything. We don’t try to make it boring, but we don’t try to make it fake either,” said Gloria, who didn’t foreshadow any violence this season.

“I’m not a fan of violence. I’ve never felt like I’ve had to fight somebody,” said Gloria, admitting that the show’s stars have to balance entertainment with real life.

“The audience really wants [violence]. They don’t want to see us skipping down the street. They don’t want to see that. It’s unfortunate,” she said. “You gotta bring what the audience wants that’s going to bring those ratings and viewers. It’s a really fine line we walk.”

Gloria confirmed that newcomers will be joining the season 2 cast, but they won’t help the show’s credibility as far as the franchise name is concerned. Neither of the newbies are actually NBA wives.

“We’re going to change the title of the show. It’s going to be called I’ve Been to a Basketball Game, I’ve Been in the Parking Lot of the Staples Center,” she joked.
