Paul Ryan’s Black ex-girlfriend speaks out

Paul Ryan’s Black ex-girlfriend doesn’t really agree with his political stance, but she still supports him.

Deneeta Pope, who was a cheerleader at Miami University when she was with Paul, said she never really noticed any of the racism that he claims they were met with.

The Daily Mail reports that while things didn’t work out for them (Deneeta said they weren’t very serious), she has no hard feelings towards him and they remain on friendly terms to this day. TMZ.com reports that he and his wife even attended her wedding back in May.

"Paul is a very nice guy, a kind guy and a family guy. He’s very approachable and a very likable person," said Deneeta who is currently an I.T. specialist in Chicago."It tells you the kind of guy Paul is when you learn that he has remained friends with all of his friends that he met in college," she told The Daily Mail.

Does that ringing personal endorsement mean that Paul can count on her vote come November? Not so much.

"I am indeed a Democrat. That’s no secret," Deneeta told TMZ. "Although I have a different political association to Paul, I support him and wish him continued success."

That seems to be all she’s willing to state on the matter because she’d rather spend her days enjoying her new hubby than answering questions about an ex. "I’m not interested in talking," she told TMZ. "I don’t know why everyone is calling. I’m newly married and would just like to be left alone."

Deneeta also seems to be a fitness enthusiast as she did a video about the bar workout for The Wall Street Journal.
