Chris Brown said his new neck tattoo is not a tribute to his ex-love Rihanna!
The "Don’t Judge Me" singer unveiled his newest piece of body art, a two-faced woman, and it immediately got people talking. The doodle on his neck, which looked pretty brutal on the left side, reminded many people of a battered woman—namley, Rihanna.
Chris blasted suspicion about the ink, by tweeting, "I’m an artist and this is art. Dia de los Muertos." Dia Los Muertos is a day in Mexican culture on which people honor the dead. Many of the decorations used on that day are modeled after skeletons, as did the artwork on the left side of her face.
The singer’s rep added in a statement that the tattoo is "a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw."
Chris’ tattoo artist Peter Koskela echoed the rep’s claims, adding that the sketch is "based on the MAC design that Chris brought me."
Meanwhile, Chris’ newest tattoo is drawing more speculation about his relationship with Rihanna. The singer unveiled ink of a fighter jet right on his rib cage, which is the exact same spot where Rihanna got her tattoo of the Egyptian goddess Isis in tribute to her recently deceased grandmother.
