Shonda Rhimes sells two new shows

Shonda Rhimes is teaming up with the creator of "The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl" for a show on ABC!

According to Deadline.com, Shonda is breaking out of the drama box, which has been so good to her, with a new comedy by Issa Rae titled, "I Hate LA Dudes." Reportedly the show has been sold to ABC.

"I Hate LA Dudes" centers on a young writer that moves to Los Angeles in hopes of making a name for herself as [a] journalist, only to become the first lady of a guy-centric web talk show. When she’s not injecting a much-needed female opinion, the as-yet unnamed character is navigating the local dating scene and trying to learn how they play the game of of love out in L.A.

Issa will serve as the writer and co-executive producer on "I Hate LA Dudes," which is part of Shonda’s push to expand into comedy.

Shonda’s production company will also be working on another show for ABC titled, "The Mix," which takes a behind-the-scenes look at a daytime talk show. The dramedy by John Hoffman will follow five of the female hosts, who have very different personalities. So think "30 Rock" but for "The View."

While there’s no teaser for "The Mix" just yet, get a peek at what you can expect on "I Hate LA Dudes" below!
