There’s word that the cast of "Basketball Wives: LA" has suffered some drastic cuts.
TMZ.com reports that producers for "BBW: LA" have axed four cast members from the show. Gloria Govan was the first to go after she neglected to tell VH1 that she was running off to Las Vegas to marry her longtime love Matt Barnes. Supposedly that was the tipping point for producers, who felt very disrespected by the exclusion.
Sources close to the show also told TMZ that Laura Govan, Malaysia Pargo and Brooke Bailey have also been fired because they didn’t want "all of their reality to be filmed."
Ironically, Laura told us last week that if she had it her way, the jump-offs would be kicked off the show.
“If it’s ‘Basketball Wives,’ then let’s hold this title. At least have some basketball affiliation,” said Laura, who pointed that she’s been with Gilbert Arenas for 12 years. “At the end of the day, the title is called ‘Basketball Wives,’ at least play basketball. Let’s not just have the groupies. Get that for another show. That could be the jump-off show.”
At this point Jackie Christie and Draya Michele would be the only ones returning for season 3. What does the cast make of the gossip? They don’t seem to be too concerned about the chatter.
While neither Malaysia nor Gloria have commented on the rumors, Laura tweeted Sunday night, "Basic chicks start rumors."
Brooke just wanted viewers to calm down, instructing, "Everybody relax … LOL."
Draya tweeted a photo of herself in her bridal-inspired Halloween costume with the caption: "Basketball wife my ass. Waaaaayyyy baaaaaaddddder!"
Meanwhile Jackie hit up a Shaniece show and went to Nick Cannon’s party over the weekend.
