Beyoncé documentary headed to HBO

Beyoncé is set to share "intimate" moments with fans in new HBO documentary.

Blue Ivy fans may finally get a decent look at the little one whose image has been taken from far distances or out of focus at best.
Although Bey is no stranger to documentaries, as she was the star of many concert specials, this special will include personal footage shot by Beyoncé on her laptop, home videos from her childhood in Houston and unreleased footage of her performances, reports
"HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity," she said in a statement about her new special, which is due to air February 16. “Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me; it had to have the right home."
President of HBO Programming Michael Lombardo announced the partnership with the “Dance for You” singer, and expressed his own excitement about the venture.
"Everybody knows Beyoncé’s music, but few know Beyoncé the person. Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman,” he said.
The film is directed by Bey herself, and reflects her new life as a mother to daughter Blue Ivy and her life as a star. Catch her documentary special on HBO February 16.
