Kanye West seems happy with Kim Kardashian, but one insider claims she’s ruining his career.
Can Kanye have it all?
A source told The New York Daily News that Yeezy’s relationship with Kim has somehow become bigger than his rap career. Kim has made a business of sharing all of her personal business, and that includes her romance with Kanye. Ever since Kanye confessed his love for her in "Way Too Cold" (formerly "Theraflu"), they have become one of pop culture’s most-watched couples.
Although many don’t see how the extra publicity can be a bad thing, music pros feel his love life has taken over. “His personal life is overpowering his music,” an industry source claims. “Every time he plays, people are wondering if Kim is going to be there. It’s not a good thing for him, especially if he wants to be taken seriously.”
That could be a very real concern for Kanye, who turned down several requests to perform in Las Vegas and Miami on New Year’s Eve. The opportunities were only good if he brought Kim along with him, so he declined. “Kanye was actually offended by the offers,” the insider claimed.
And he’s not exactly a willing guest star on her show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." He tried to assert his position that he would not appear on the reality series, but Kim broke his resolve. “He made it clear to her he doesn’t want to be on her show, but Kim gets upset so he caves in,” the source said.
Kanye’s romance with the reality TV star may even be affecting his fans’ desire to see him. The "Power" rapper has a show coming up at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, but one ticket broker claims that passes for the concert are "not close to being sold out."
