Tami Roman talks less drama on season 5 of BBW

Tami Roman said she will be much more motherly and soft on season 5 of "Basketball Wives."

Evelyn Lozada has already said that fans of the volatile VH1 show will see some major changes when the show returns. Now, Tami is backing up those sentiments with some dish from the set.

The "BBW" star told CocoaFab.com that “people are really going to be surprised at the approach we’re going to take this season because it’s more family-oriented, not as much drama."

Season 5 has been in production for a couple of weeks now, and so far there haven’t been any problems during shooting. By all accounts things are going smoothly as "BBW" welcomes Tasha Marbury, Brandy Garnett and Dwight Howard’s ex-wife, Hope Alexa.

Last season the cast came under fire for getting physical on several occasions, and some of the members were even labeled bullies. But Tami said that that’s just not who she is, and she’s finally getting a chance to show her other side.

“What you’ve seen in past seasons was real, but that’s not how our lives are 98% of the time. We’re excited to show you more than just the drama,” Tami said. "I’m really a loving person and you’ll see that on season five.”

There’s also a chance that VH1 cameras will follow her as she works on a new project. “I’m a busy mom and I have a new show coming out and I’m focused on that,” she said, referencing her TV One series with Elise Neal, "Belles."
