Brooke wants ‘BBW: L.A.’ to be more like Miami

Brooke Bailey can’t exactly argue with those who criticize “Basketball Wives: L.A.” for being a tad ghetto.

“We definitely had a lot more ghetto and ratchetness on ‘L.A.’ than Miami has had in their four seasons that we’ve seen. So, I do agree with [the critics] in that sense,” Brooke told Sister 2 Sister.

While viewers have also been critical about the Miami-based “Basketball Wives,” even starting a boycott of the show, Brooke said they’ve maintained a level of class that her spin-off series hasn’t.

“Miami is a few notches upscale from what we brought this season, and I would definitely hope that we can get it together to be on that same level,” she said.

Some who’ve taken issue with the violence that takes place on “Basketball Wives: Miami,” may question Brooke’s logic. There have been fewer physical altercations on the L.A. show, but with co-stars proudly reppin’ the ghetto, Brooke wants her cast to do better.

“I know that just like every other city, we have a ghetto. I’m from the ghetto, but I think that the viewers would like to see a lot more of what L.A. has to offer than just some ghettoness,” said Brooke, who told the “BBW: L.A.” reunion host that she wouldn’t mind being a part of the Miami cast.

“I’m cordial on Twitter with Evelyn [Lozada],” said Brooke, who isn’t really friends with anyone on that show. ”She’s done great. Of course, I look at her, I look at NeNe Leakes as reality show stars, and the paths that they’ve taken, I hope that my career is able to be as great as theirs.”
