It turns out Royce Reed doesn’t have to be a member of the “Basketball Wives” cast to be involved in drama with her former co-stars.
The choreographer took to Twitter Saturday to address Evelyn Lozada and discredit Shaunie O’Neal, who is often recognized as the creator of the franchise.
“Still tryna figure out y @EvelynLozada keeps my name n her mouth if I’m so irrelevant?” Royce tweeted. “U stopped filming w/me bcuz I punk’d ur a**.”
The two former cast mates never really got along and nearly came to blows in season 3 of the show. That was before many of the show’s stars, including Evelyn and Shaunie, refused to tape with Royce.
It’s unclear how much of that had to do with her exit from the show. It’s assumed that her legal battles with babydaddy Dwight Howard are the primary reason she’s left the show.
Royce didn’t clarify exactly what Evelyn said about her, but she suggested that she’s been holding her tongue for a while.
“I’m also not 1 2stay quiet 4 too long whn u keep talkin ish! Period!” she replied to one of her Twitter followers.
As for Shaunie, Royce injected herself into an ongoing debate about who’s really responsible for “Basketball Wives.” Actually, most people only questioned whether sisters Laura Govan and Gloria Govan Barnes or Shaunie launched the L.A. spin off version. Few doubted that Shaunie created the franchise.
However, Royce raised some doubts.
“Tom Huffman is the idea behind Basketball Wives NOT Shaunie Oneal,” wrote Royce who suggested that Shaunie was initially planning to do a reality show with Shaquille O’Neal.
“She turned it dwn 4 Love Shaq tht nvr aired,” said Royce who promised not to engage in such reality TV gossip in 2013.
“When the New Year hits imam just bury this is w/all the other ignorance of 2012,” she wrote.
