DJ Envy apologizes to his wife on-air

DJ Envy made a huge declaration of love and apology to his wife, Gia Casey, during Friday’s broadcast of "The Breakfast Club."

It looks like something might be a little off in DJ Envy’s household. Charlamagne Tha God called out his fellow "Breakfast Club" host, arguing that that Envy has been off of his game as of late. To add insult to injury, Charlamagne labeled the DJ as the "Donkey of The Day" on Friday before asking him what’s wrong.

Originally Envy didn’t want to talk about his marital issues, whatever they may be, on air, but after a long pause, he opened up about some of the drama going on at home.

"Shout out to my wife. You know I’ve been with [my wife] for 18 years and sometimes you don’t treat the person that you’ve been with well, You treat them like they are always there and it has been a point where I treated my wife like ish," DJ Envy said. "You know, just the small things you don’t do anymore."

He added, "It’s not a problem [with her]; it’s me. I’ve been with wifey for a long time, since high school."

Without giving any real detail, DJ Envy explained that he’d started to let things replaceme genuine appreciation for his wife. He made it seem as though they don’t spend as much time together as they once did, and that he’d gotten into the habit of using expensive gifts to make up for the lost time.

Since Gia is slated to join the cast of Bravo’s "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" next season, some are questioning how sincere DJ Envy’s apology really is. The New York radio personality didn’t seem particularly concerned with those assumptions.

"I don’t care who says anything at this point, the only important thing is getting my family back to where it needs to be and getting wifey to understand that I appreciate her and I love her," Envy explained. "The reason I am saying something is because I don’t care what people say or how I look; the only thing that is important is that she understands that she is my queen."

Taking his apology a step further, Envy called up his wife live on-air to apologize. See how she took it when you listen below!
