Kim Kardashian was a little shocked to find out that she was expecting a baby with Kanye West.
"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" fans have seen Kim’s sister Khloe struggle to conceive a baby with hubby Lamar Odom only to reveal back in September that she actually has fertility issues. Unbeknownst to most people, though, she isn’t the only Kardashian sister with such problems.
"I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues," Kim told NBC’s "Today" on Tuesday.
"It was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens,” Kim said of the moment she found out she was expecting “That’s an exciting moment, you can plan for things like that. So I think it’s just such a blessing knowing my circumstances.”
While most news outlets have timed out Kim’s delivery date to be some time in June, she revealed that she’s actually due in July.
This could affect the proceedings of her divorce from Kris Humphries, who still hasn’t signed the necessary documents to end their 72-day marriage. “I can’t speak for anyone else (about why Kris hasn’t signed),” said Kim. “It’s a process … It’s happening, hopefully.”
Even though she’s still legally wed to the NBA player, the public wonders whether she and Kanye intend to get hitched any time soon. Kim revealed that even with a baby on the way, they’re in "no rush" to wed.
“It’s something that we talk about, but I think it’s just right now (we’re) focusing on the baby,” Kim explained. “What I’ve learned in life is—I was always such a planner, and … you think your life is going to be a certain way, and the best surprises just happen when you don’t plan.”
