If it’s one thing “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks knows, it’s her business, and when it came to her workout DVD, she parted ways with the “donkey booty” drama and gave Kenya Moore the boot.
She recently took advantage of her Bravo.com blog to explain why she couldn’t do business with the “Gone With the Wind fabulous” star.
“I have been noted as many things, a less that astute business woman has not been one of them,” she said.
Phaedra said the business deal went sour for her when Kenya refused to show paperwork or get an attorney to verbalize her proposal. She said Kenya came in demanding $100K in production fees and a 10 percent back end for all sales produced.
“I am assuming that she thought since we had known her for one month we would trust her with $100K without doing our due diligence,” she said.
Phaedra started to raise an eyebrow when she noticed Kenya’s actions and resume weren’t matching up. According to Phaedra, she and hubby Apollo Nida only asked Kenya to produce the DVD, nothing else.
“We never asked Kenya to secure a distribution deal, she did that on her own accord,” she said.
Phaedra said the former Miss USA must not have had any current business endeavors or projects that she was working on because she was obsessed about working with them and would “whine” about it with anyone that lent an ear.
“Her time would have been used more wisely if she would have just been forthcoming with us, or better yet, hired an attorney to negotiate the deal,” she said.
Phaedra said she and Apollo had a drama-free release of their “Phine Body with Phaedra & Apollo Donkey Booty Volume 1” last month.
“We do hope that Kenya will invest in a Business 101 class and we wish her all the best,” she said.
