Politics and hip-hop will collide on Sunday, January 20, at the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C.
The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, along with Philanthropik, will celebrate hip-hop’s role in getting President Obama reelected while making the community aware of national politics.
Hosted by LaLa Anthony and Terrence J, the guest list includes some of the hottest in hip-hop and entertainment: Brandy, Swizz Beatz, John Legend, Raheem DeVaughn, Doug E. Fresh, Meek Mill, Marsha Ambrosius and more.
Those who have made a mark in the hip-hop community will also be recognized at the event during an awards ceremony. MC Lyte and Doug E. Fresh will both be honored with Lifetime Achievement awards. Rosario Dawson, co-founder of the non-partisan organization VOTO LATINO, will accept an award on behalf of the organization.
With performers including Jadakiss, Lil Mama, Meek Mill, Marsha Ambrosius, hip-hop violinist Damien Escobar and more, this is bound to be the livest party in D.C. this Sunday night.
