Celebs encourage youth voting at Generation Now ball

Saturday’s inauguration kick-off event, deemed the hottest party of the weekend, featured big names like Common, T-Pain, noted author and syndicated columnist Arianna Huffington, actress Sophie Bush and 2013 Miss America, Mallory Hagan.

Just before President Barack Obama was sworn in for his second term, OurTime.org brought Hollywood to the Kogod Courtyard of the National Portrait Gallery in the District with a night of A-list performances, celebrity appearances and media interviews, all to honor the "Generation Now" youth voters.

With around 2,000 attendees and hosted by Will.i.am, Tate Donovan and more, the party celebrated the impact young voters had on the recent presidential election, and was meant to raise awareness for the issues impacting young voters and to encourage future participation among the millennial generation.

OurTime.org is a non-partisan political engagement organization that aims to empower young Americans in the political process. For more information, visit OurTime.org.
