Beyoncé discusses miscarriage in documentary

Beyoncé is speaking out about the loss of her first child in her upcoming HBO documentary, Life Is But A Dream.

After getting their hands on an advanced copy of Life Is But A Dream, USA Today reports that Bey candidly discusses everything from her passion for Jay-Z and why she decided to reveal her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2011.

Beyond that, Beyoncé opened up about her heartbreaking miscarriage two years ago, stating that one week she heard a heartbeat and the next, it was gone. In an attempt to cope with the grief, the diva headed into the studio to threw herself into her work.

This is the first time that Beyoncé has spoken on the devastating loss, but her husband rapped about it in his tribute to their daughter Blue Ivy, "Glory."

Before Blue was born the couple were hounded with rumors that Beyoncé wasn’t actually pregnant, instead opting to have a surrograte carry their unborn daughter. Though the singer remained mum about the gossip at the time, she was very upset by the idea that she would have someone else carry Blue so that she could keep her figure.

“There’s a stupid rumor. The most ridiculous rumor I think I’ve ever had about me. It’s crazy," said a visibly shaken Beyoncé. "To think I would be that vain – I respect mothers and women so much and to be able to experience bringing a child into this world, if you’re lucky and fortunate enough to experience that, I would never, ever take that for granted."

Considering her previous loss, Beyoncé argued that being able to have a baby meant even more to her. "It’s the most powerful thing you can do," the diva stated. "Especially after losing a child, the pain and trauma from that just makes it mean so much more to get an opportunity to bring life into the world. It seems like people should have boundaries."

Most recently, Beyoncé clapped back at rumors that she lip synched at the Inauguration. Find out what she had to say when you flip through Daily Buzz 1.28.13 below!
