Phaedra Parks and her family want to add a baby girl to complete their young family.
Everybody knows that Phaedra is the queen of her castle, but she wouldn’t mind having a little princess! The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star told The Huffington Post that she and hubby Apollo Nida are hoping for a baby girl, but it took her a little time to warm up to the idea.
“Well, I just want a healthy baby. At first I was anti-little girls, and my husband was like, ‘I’d like a daughter,’” she said. “But now I’m like, ‘A girl might be fun.’ You know, once they get over the puberty and teenage years, you know me and my mom are best friends.”
And if Phaedra’s son Ayden had it his way, his mom will be having a little girl, too! “He is so excited. He keeps saying, ‘I want a sister,’" said Phaedra.
Of course the want to have a little sister because he had a test run at being a big brother.“He actually has a cousin. My husband’s brother and his wife just had a little girl and so he thought that was his sister because he gets to see her often," Phaedra explained, adding that there seems to be no room for negotiation in Ayden’s mind. He wants a sister and that’s it!
"He’s like ‘sister, sister,’ and I’m like ‘What if it’s a boy?’ and he’s like ‘Noooo sister,’ and I’m like ‘Okay,’" she shared.
In the mean time, the lawyer-funeral director-fitness guru is coping with carrying another baby. And for a woman that seems to be able to do everything (including designing a taser), being pregnant is a little tough.
“Sometimes there’s a pressure on your body. Sometimes you’re tired. I mean, it’s a strain on your body," said Phaedra. "You know, you’ve got a extra basketball in front of you and of course, most people aren’t used to walking with the basketball in the front and I got a basketball in the back.”
