Phaedra Parks talks ‘RHOA’ spin-off

Her former co-star had a few babies and ended up with her own show, but Phaedra Parks isn’t exactly looking at Kim Zolciak as an example.

“I don’t want my mama suing me. I don’t want my parents disowning me because of a TV show,” the pregnant attorney told Perez Hilton.

She didn’t mention Kim by name, but the “Tardy for the Party” singer has experienced a rift with her parents since her spin-off series premiered. Lawyers were involved.

“I don’t want to have to fight with my husband or my mama,” Phaedra said.

Phaedra isn’t the only “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member to turn down a spin-off. NeNe Leakes said she’s repeatedly declined the offer to star in her own series.

NeNe is likely too busy starring in popular network series to worry about her own reality show. Phaedra’s hesitation is more about protecting her family and privacy.

“First of all, everyone sees enough of our life already and it’s very invasive. You don’t have a lot of privacy just on being on the ‘Housewives’ in general. There always has to be some drama,” said Phaedra whose drama with “RHOA” co-star Kenya Moore has been a significant storyline of season 5.

The two butted heads (pun intended) over rival workout videos that help tone the booty.

However, it’s not the girlfriend drama Phaedra’s worried about.

“Doing the ‘Housewives’ is plenty of drama. I love my family. We get along, and I want to keep having a healthy relationship. If I did a show, I definitely would not have my family in it,” she said.
