Jim Jones arrested, released on bail

Rapper and reality-television star Jim Jones was arrested Wednesday for disorderly conduct toward a police officer.

The incident began when New Jersey authorities questioned Jim about a ticketed car near his home. The vehicle was about to be towed, but Jim agreed to pay the fee.

However after the officer ran Jim’s name, which is standard procedure during traffic stops, they found two warrants for his arrest, according to reports.

The warrants consisted of relatively minor infractions, including motor vehicle violation and failure to remove snow from his sidewalk.

According to NewsOne, when the officer asked Jim to accompany him to police head quarters he refused and became hostile.

Since the “We Fly High” rapper, 37, did not cooperate, the officer was obliged to handcuff him and take him to a nearby station. However, he’s since been released on bail and is scheduled to return to court on February 27.
