Evelyn Lozada still feisty on ‘BBW’ season 5

Evelyn Lozada said she’s changed for the better, but that doesn’t mean the “Basketball Wives” star has lost her fire.

“I had people say, ‘Stay the same. I need to see all that feistiness.’ I’m still going to have my little quotes; this is just who Evelyn is,” she said, possibly predicting more T-shirts emblazoned with zingy one-liners.

Though she’s unlikely to be tossing anymore wine bottles—something she’s described as a big regret—Evelyn said that doesn’t mean she’s going to let her co-stars walk all over her.

“I need to learn to handle certain situations, but if somebody is coming at me, I’m going to protect myself,” she told Vibe Vixen.

There has been no leaked gossip about altercations between Evelyn and any of her season 5 co-stars so far; however, she was reportedly on-hand during a food fight between Suzie Ketcham and Kenya Bell.

Evelyn has credited OWN life coach Iyanla Vanzant for helping her transform into a new woman, but fans shouldn’t expect Ev to be a saint.

“It’s not like I’m going to be super perfect because I was on ‘Iyanla’ and now I’m Mother Mary because that’s not what it is, but at the same time, instead of going from zero to 1,000, let’s really think before we speak and not get physical,” said Evelyn who admitted that doesn’t exactly come naturally.

“I just have to remind myself of that. It’s a daily thing for me because sometimes you’re tested,” she said.
