Though her co-star’s rival DVD, “Phine Body,” was released weeks before Kenya’s “Booty Boot Camp,” its success has been eclipsed by Kenya’s DVD.
According to LALATE, Kenya’s workout DVD became an Amazon bestseller within six hours of its release.
The two ladies were initially working together on Phaedra’s “donkey booty” project, but after a disagreement over money, they severed the relationship—personal and professional—and Kenya decided to do her own workout DVD.
Their rivalry ended their friendship, and name-calling ensued. Phaedra used words like “bipolar” and “whore” when speaking about Kenya, whose behind she claimed is fake. Kenya suggested that Phaedra’s body wasn’t toned enough for a workout DVD and that the entertainment attorney wears Spanx.
“She is a jealous, fake, evil, and most of all a hypocritical villain. My body is natural. I clearly work hard for it,” Kenya wrote in her most recent BravoTV.com blog. “I have never called her a ho when she obviously got pregnant by a man fresh out of prison without using protection and lied about it to the world. I have learned…that if you roll around in the mud with a little pig, all you do is get dirty and the pig loves it.”
While many have sided with Phaedra, who first introduced the idea of producing a workout video that focuses on toning one’s “donkey booty,” others have shared Kenya’s sentiment that a “stallion booty” is more desirable.
“RHOA” co-stars, Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes, and rapper Eve, have all expressed that they’d prefer a stallion booty to that of a donkey any day.
It seems the masses agree.
Phaedra has nothing to be ashamed of, though. Her DVD is selling well, according to LALATE’s Amazon stats. Volume One of her DVD ranked 3,885, and the second volume made it to 12,012 on Amazon’s Movies and TV list.
However, “Booty Boot Camp,” ranked 1,222.
