When the Braxton sisters (minus Toni) dropped by Power 105.1 this morning, the crew wanted to know about the new man in Towanda’s life. “Towanda definitely got her groove back,” Tamar said, speaking up for her sister.
That still didn’t quite answer the question, though. “I’m gonna tell you who he is,” said Towanda before dodging the question again and promoting season 3 of “Braxton Family Values,” which debuts tomorrow. “You’re gonna see him on Thursday night at 9 p.m. on WE tv.”
She went on to explained, “A lot of things are going to unfold, I don’t want to give out any secrets just yet, but something BIG is going to happen.”
The sisters were up to their usual antics this morning as they joked around and shaded each other. But the hosts pointed out that they’re getting along much better than expected as the sisters were supposedly beefing while taping season 3.
“We’re always beefing. That’s what sisters do,” Towanda said. “She’s just the baby, so we kind of give her a lot of passes because she’s been the baby.”
She added, “I think now, for season 3, we’re creating boundaries. Like, ‘Ok, Tamar, even though you’re the baby…come on now.'”
“We’re tyring to keep our sisterhood at a point where we can communicate and still have fun,” Tamar added.
And if she has it her way, there will be a season 4 of “BFV,” but they have to make it through season 3 first, and there’s enough content to last the network about six months. “I think we’re all at a place where we’re comfortable in our own skin, and the network loves what we do,” said Tamar. “We have 26 episodes this season.”
Although she sidestepped the question about babies (she later confirmed on “Good Morning America” that she’s pregnant), Tamar revealed that her album is being put on hold because she just joined Epic Records.
Charlamagne Tha God isn’t too sure about that move, pointing to Ciara as an example of an act that is going nowhere. Tamar brushed off his assessment by simply stating, “Ciara doesn’t have Vincent Herbert.”
