Regina King took to Twitter today to address recent rumors that her years-long romance with Malcolm-Jamal Warner had ended.

“PLEASE don’t believe everything you read,” she wrote in response to the Us Weekly report. “Me & @MalcolmJamalWar are good.”

While fans will likely be relieved that the ‘80s child stars, two who’ve successfully avoided the apparent curse, are still on course. However, Regina hinted that maybe there was an issue.

“Life happens. Forward motion. Godspeed,” wrote the “Southland” actress.

According to the US Weekly story, Malcolm not only ended things, but had asked Regina and her son to move out of his home.

Sister 2 Sister users were among those disappointed to hear rumors about the reported split.

“Wow I thought they would last,” wrote Kimberly Jackson. Stanelle Chaster simply posted a frowned face, and Tammetrice Smith’Tobiya remarked, “Wow, so sorry to hear that.”

Regina and Malcolm have been dating for about two years. In 2012, she told Parade magazine that she was hopeful about their future.

“I believe the universe has a plan, and we probably wouldn’t have been ready years ago. We both had to do whatever we had to do to be ready for each other now,” she said.
