Yandy Smith said she’s holding down the fort while her man is behind bars, but it’s not easy.

On the last episode of “Love & Hip Hop,” Mendeecees Harris turned himself in for drug charges. This came just one show after he had proposed to her in their new house.

Yandy revealed to VH1 that Mendeecees is currently incarcerated, but there’s no final verdict in his case at this time. “You know, it’s a hard situation, especially when you don’t have any answers yet,” Yandy said. “It’s kind of just a waiting situation to see what this is all about, and that’s the hardpart – the unknown is the hardest part.”

This is Mendeecees second legal battle of the year as he also faced allegations of sexually assaulting a minor. He was eventually cleared of those charges. However, he’s also been accused of distributing drugs in Maryland. And those could not be ignored when federal agents came knocking

“It’s hard when you kind of see your life flash before you. I know the life that we live together which has been like a storybook, like a fairytale with ups and downs of course, but it’s been good, and the love has been good” Yandy stated. “This case is from all these years ago. It’s just like, why now?”

When asked if she’s put her wedding planning on hold while Mendeecees is in prison, Yandy said, “Oh yeah, absolutely.”

The hip-hop manager is trying to keep a packed schedule so that she doesn’t have a lot of time to sit around and be depressed. Staying busy lets her focus on other things aside from missing Mendeecees, but that gets tough to do when she clocks out.

“I go through spurts, especially at night. I just keep busy. Like I told you, I haven’t had a day off, so I don’t even know if I’ve really soaked up what’s happening in my life because I’ve just been so busy,” said Yandy.

“We both were busy during the day so it really hits me at night when I come home,” she added before pointing out that she’ll remain positive. “I’m with the boys in the house, that’s when it’s like, “Aww, dag.” But I’m really faithful and hopeful that this situation will be cleared up and he’ll be back with us soon.”
