Spelman College is having to shutter its athletics department. After spending nearly $1 million on its athletics program this school year, the HBCU announced that it can no longer afford to keep it going next year.

But all is not lost. Spelman alumna A.J. Johnson has linked up with her alma mater to launch a Wellness Revolution program at the school. One of the first initiatives within Wellness Revolution will be another program called 21 Days To Fit, which is based on AJ’s belief that it takes 21 days to create a new habit.

“I want to make sure that everyone understands that this is 21 days to better,” A.J. said, according to The Jasmine Brand. “It is going to cover nutrition, fitness and our mental and spiritual health because all of that, as far as I’m concerned, plays a part in your overall better.

She added, “Little things can create better health, so try to make the little things habits, like drinking water and exercising regularly.”
