Katt Wlliams dodges jail time in car chase
Katt Williams has avoided lockup in the case of his low-speed car chase in November. E! News reports that the comedian has been sentenced to 180 days in jail for felony police evasion, but the judge gave him a break. Half of the sentence was turned into 420 hours of community service and the remaining 90 days have been stayed.
Katt has until June 14 to show that he’s enrolled in a service program and he must complete his sentence by February 7 or he will be put behind bars. “We are pleased that he will not be incarcerated and Mr. Williams looks forward to working with the community,” Katt’s attorney said in a statement.
