Tyler Perry plots Madea cartoon

Tyler Perry has some new ideas for his perennial character Madea, which he might be turning into a cartoon.

It’s been a while since audiences have seen Tyler Don his blue wig and floral dress to play the no-nonsense matriarch. But the Peeples producer revealed to “HuffPost Live” last week that he’s working on an animated project that will center on Madea.

While he didn’t make it clear whether the project will be a feature film or tv series, or where fans might be able to see it, Tyler let it slip that he’s got another series coming for OWN. Initially, he only announced that he’d only be doing two shoes for the network, The Haves And Have Nots, and Love Thy Neighbor, which are set to debut before summer.

But is there a chance that the third project could see Tyler following in Oprah Winfrey’s foot steps? He mentioned that he’s in talks to do a chat show. “I’m talking about doing something on the network,” he stated. “Two days a week, after my shows. Kind of a cross between ‘Steve Harvey,’ ‘Dr. Phil,’ and Andy Cohen’s ‘Watch What Happens Live.'”
