Kelly Rowland is revealing some old issues like past abuse and being jealous of Beyoncé on her new track “Dirty Laundry.”

Kelly made some huge confessions on her new track. “When my sister was on stage killin’ it like a motherf*cker/I was enraged, feelin’ it like a motherf*cker,” the siren sang, implying that she may not have been allowed to shine as brightly as she could have in Destiny’s Child. “Bird in a cage/You would never know what I was dealin’ with/Went our separate ways but I was happy she was killin’ it.”

After going solo, Kelly admitted that she had a feeling her music wasn’t going to make as big of a splash as Bey’s. However, that was not her biggest problem at the time.

“Forget the records, off the record I was going through some bullsh*t/Post ‘Survivor’ she’s on fire/who wants to hear my bullsh*t'” Kelly states on the track before revealing that she’s been in a physically abusive relationship. “Meanwhile this n*gga putting his hand on me.”

Despite their issues Kelly and Beyoncé have maintained a very close relationship throughout their lives, and Kelly revealed that the “Crazy In Love” singer urged her to leave to leave the unidentified abuser.

Working on something so personal was a great undertaking for Kelly, and she entrusted The Dream with the lofty task of producing “Dirty Laundry.” During a chat with S2S he said that he’s extremely proud of the song. “It helped her get through a lot.”

“Dirty Laundry” will be available on iTunes on May 21, but check out the entire track below right now!
