Kelly Rowland cancels tour, joins ‘X Factor’
Well, so much for that summer tour! Kelly Rowland has scrapped plans to hit the road with The Dream in promotion of her new album Talk A Good Game. What could possibly have derailed her summer tour plans? A network gig of course! It’s just been officially announced that Kelly will be joining the American version of “The X Factor.”
Kelly, who also acted as a judge on the British version of “X Factor,” is the third woman on the panel this season after Demi Lavato re-upped and Fox recruited Paulina Rubio. This makes show creator Simon Cowell the only male judge this season.
“It’s taken more than a decade but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls,” he said, according to StyleBlazer.com. “Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”
Look out for “The X Factor” when it returns this fall. In the meantime, check out her new track with The Dream, “Where Have You Been?”.
