Beyoncé’s recent responses to questions about her pregnancy haven’t been exactly crystal clear, but the singer’s camp is apparently shutting all the rumors down.
CBS correspondent Gayle King reported that Beyoncé’s camp reached out to her to put an end to the gossip.
“I got a call yesterday from Team Beyoncé and they’re basically saying, ‘Stop the crazy. She is absolutely, positively not pregnant at this time.’ It’s a crazy rumor that started that they can’t seem to stop,” Gayle said on “CBS This Morning.”
The rumors started when Beyoncé showed up to the MET Gala in a dress that some thought hid a baby bump. Soon after, Beyoncé cancelled one of the stops on her European tour, adding fuel to the fire.
When E! news quoted an anonymous source who allegedly confirmed the rumors, the story just wouldn’t seem to die.
Though Jay-Z reportedly denied the rumors, Beyoncé wasn’t so clear when questioned about it recently.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” she replied when asked about the news.
That wasn’t enough of a denial to put an end to the speculation, but Gayle’s report leaves little question.
“They think it’s a very personal question, and that it’s true she and Jay-Z absolutely want to have another baby and when the time is right and they decide the time is right, they will share it, but she’s absolutely not pregnant,” said Gayle.
