Some “R&B Divas” fans do not want to see Nicci Gilbert to return to the show if it’s picked up for a third season.

After season 1 of TV One’s hit reality show aired, there were whispers that both Nicci and her friend Faith Evans had been booted from the show. When season 2 debuted, that gossip was effectively laid to rest.

But with season 2 out of the way, there’s still some casting trouble for Nicci as fed-up fans of the show are asking producers not to invite her back for another round. This vocal faction is sounding off in a petition that was recently posted online, stating that Nicci is “too negative, argumentative and brings the show down.”

Despite that fact that she’s one of the show’s creators, fans would like to see her replaced by Blu Cantrell, Sunshine Anderson, Nivea or Tweet. As of press time there were 222 signatures on the petition.

Originally it was believed that producer Phil Thornton started the request to have Nicci axed from the show, but one of Syleena Johnson’s fans, a man named Glen Whitcroft, stepped up to admit that he posted the petition.
