The network has dropped Paula, according to reports, and Wendy likely has no objections. After learning that she admittedly used the N-word and has hosted parties that featured Black servants portraying slaves, Wendy went in.
“She seems to think that it’s okay. It’s not okay. It just goes to show you money doesn’t buy you class. It only exposes who you really are. Stupid is as stupid does,” Wendy reportedly told “Entertainment Weekly.” Paula’s admission may have shocked many, but Wendy wasn’t too surprised.
“This is something that has been swirling around about Paula Deen for longer than this story,” said Wendy.
Though she issued two separate video apologies, it seems the damage is done.
“Food Network will not renew Paula Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of this month,” read a statement.
Though her Food Network series, “Paula’s Best Dishes,” is over, Wendy didn’t seem to worried about Paula’s future.
“It’s definitely tarnished her image and brand,” she said. “Fortunately for Paula, all of this ignorance has fallen out of her mouth after she’s amassed more money than she’ll know how to spend in her lifetime. So don’t worry about Paula, she’ll be just fine.”
