Wendy admits reluctant addiction to ‘ratchet’ ‘LHH:ATL’

Kirk Frost, Rasheeda, Wendy Williams, Love & Hip Hop: AtlantaWendy Williams is a reluctant fan of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” a reality show that makes her ashamed to be Black, and she accused stars Kirk Frost and Rasheeda of faking marriage drama for ratings.

“First of all, Rasheeda, you and Kirk are real ratchet for drumming up this storyline right here. ‘Cause you know what you were doing because Stevie and my Puerto Rican princess, Joseline, were the popular couple, and you and your husband—or whatever you want to call that animal—you all did this as a plot to get popular on this show. It’s a shame what people will do to stay on this reality TV.”

The couple’s marriage is seemingly in trouble, in part, because of Rasheeda’s surprise pregnancy. Husband Kirk, who already has children, suggested she terminate the pregnancy and apparently used his displeasure as an excuse to cheat on his wife.

Though she admitted she’s addicted to the show, Wendy’s not at all proud that she’s a regular viewer.

“I watch it twice. I watch it the first time just to check it out and the second time like, ‘Did I just see that?’ The show makes me embarrassed to be Black,” said Wendy making it clear that the show doesn’t represent all African Americans.

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” has received lots of criticism since it first premiered, as have several other reality TV shows, but Wendy believes the VH1 spinoff is the worst of them all.

“This is worse than the ‘Kardashians.’ This has got to be the most ratchet of all reality shows on TV. It’s disgusting, but I cannot stop watching,” said Wendy.
