“I was kind of a wild chick and used to cuss people out a lot, was a pretty hard drinker and just talked a lot of smack,” the comedian/actress told S2S. “I was just ahead of my time because I was talking smack before Def Jam or any of that became acceptable.”
Since her role in Borat, Luenell has done comedy tours with Katt Williams, appeared on TV shows such as “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and in three box-office hits: Think Like A Man, Hotel Transylvania and Taken 2.
Luenell was recently in Vegas to film Think Like a Man Too. Although she wasn’t as involved as she, or the producers, wanted her to be, she still expressed that she had a good time filming.
“I had a small cameo role [as Aunt Winnie] in Think Like a Man and it’s the same for Think Like a Man Too. Small parts in a blockbuster film are still fun,” she said. Her small cameos in big films have made her face more recognizable than her name.
As Luenell works hard to connect the dots between her cameos and her funny brand, the plus-size platinum blonde tries to preach self-acceptance to audiences at her stand-up shows.
“You can be fabulous being your own skinny self, fat self, your own short self, your own tall self. I would [also] like people to think I was very real and open with them.”
