Beyoncé said her mother has a major hand in keeping the diva’s ego in check.
The rest of the world may see Bey as pop culture royalty of the highest caliber, but she let Z magazine know that her mother Tina Knowles definitely keeps her humble.
With all the respect, checks and adoration that just come along with being Beyoncé, Miss Tina will not hesitate to remind her, “Girl, you’re not a queen.”
Ok, fine. Beyoncé may not be a monarch, but she sure thinks her daughter is pretty regal. The “Grown Woman” singer recently posted a shot of Blue Ivy wearing a crown on her 1-year-old head. And if it’s up to Bey, no one is ever going to knock it off her baby’s head.
“I’m a very protective person. I want to make sure that my daughter has a healthy, safe, normal life…she’s my top priority,” Beyonce said. “Life’s completely different now. I’m still incredibly happy to be able to do what I love, but now, everything has more meaning. Life’s about being a mother.”
