It sounds like Chris Brown might be thinking about taking a break from music and the spotlight for a while.
With his next album X set to release later this year, Breezy thinks it might be time for him to just call it quits. The singer/rapper was spotted looking pretty sullen while leaving a Hollywood nightclub yesterday. He and his crew decided to party after his brief stay in jail for a hit-and-run accident earlier this summer.
Chris turned himself in Monday afternoon, and TMZ.com reports that he was only held for about 45 minutes before being released. Upon his return from the club, Chris seemed to be anything but happy as he posted some introspective tweets that stated he might be giving up on music soon.
“Home don’t feel like home. Too many vacant rooms. Don’t worry mainstream America, after this X album, it’ll probably be my last album,” Chris tweeted. “Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I’m cool & over it!”
Chris is referring to his 2009 fight with Rihanna just hours before the Grammys. Ever since then, Chris has suffered some career bumps due to the fallout. Socially, people have been very critical of him and his character since the fight, so being under such harsh scrutiny may finally have taken its toll on the singer.
But don’t take Chris’s e-announcement as a solid decree that he’ll be slinking off into obscurity. The “Don’t Judge Me” crooner plans to keep inspiring kids to be their best whether he continues to make music or not.
“Been in the spotlight since I was 15. Sometimes u just wanna STOP!! But I refuse cause I have a commitment to the youth to inspire them!” he tweeted. “That will keep me pushing forward and focused alone.”
