Brandy’s reps are apparently doing damage control after the “Put It Down” singer reportedly arrived to perform at a South African stadium that was practically empty.
According to reports, the venue held 90,000, but only 40 people attended, causing Brandy to leave the stage after singing just a few songs for her faithful fans.
However, her reps told TheYBF.com that the lack of attendance had nothing to do with a lack of love for Brandy.
“She was booked at the last minute to fly to South African to support a ‘cause,’ not a concert,” said the member of Brandy’s camp who explained that it was an event to honor Nelson Mandela.
“She attended because she wanted to support the foundation and Mr. Mandela…This whole story has been blown out of proportion and Brandy has sold out shows across the world including South Africa before.”
