Before “Sex and the City” or “Girlfriends,” there was “Living Single,” a sitcom starring Queen Latifah, Kim Fields, Kim Coles and Erika Alexander, which premiered 20 years ago this week.
The groundbreaking series aired for five seasons, and while Erika is probably best remembered for her role as quick-witted and dangerously sarcastic Maxine Shaw, she’s now returned to drama in AMC’s “Low Winter Sun.” Erika portrays detective Louise “LC” Cullen on the show.
“There’s comedy in drama, and in drama there’s comedy. I’ve been lucky enough to do both in my life and I’ve been lucky enough to do it at a high level,” Erika told Sister 2 Sister before reminiscing about “Living Single.”
What’s her favorite episode? Where would Max be now? Will there be a reunion show? Find out.
